1. 12IF 02-10/08.12.2021 "Automation of the stone wool shells foiling process (AproFich – KV01)", Institute of Mechanics is a Partner in the research project funded by the National Innovation Fund at Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), 2021 – 2023.
Strategic goal is developing the innovative technology for automation of the stone wool shells foiling process and shells' final packaging.
Specific objectives are:
- New scientific knowledge acquisition for automated and robotic foiling processes of stone wool products.
- Design, elaboration and testing of a prototype for stone wool tubular products foiling in a laboratory environment.
- Formation of a kinematic scheme and subsequent specifications of a robotized device for shells feeding to the foiling point.
- Partnership development between the Institute of Mechanics of BAS and "Chemical Products" Ltd. in research and development area.

4. 7IF-02-33/30.07.2014 "Creating a new approach and designing tools to improve and optimize the molding process during manufacturing of polymer packagings intended for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry (SuNI-Pharma)". Institute of Mechanics is a Partner in the research project funded by the National Innovation Fund at Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), finished.
The main objective of the project is to develop an innovative approach and designing tools for improving the molding process during manufacturing of polymer packagings.
The specific objectives are:
- To develop a new method, to construct, elaborate and experiment on a technological equipment a newly designed tool for improving quality of injection molding;
- To test the properties of polymer products for proving the affect of the improved molding;
- To deepen the partnership between the Institute of Mechanics - BAS and "Chimicheski
Produkti" Ltd. ("Chemical Products" Ltd.), Yambol in research and development to enhance
their innovative capacity.
