Visit of the mayors of Sofia and Burgas
On May 25th , 2011 Academician Sabotinov together with the mayors of Burgas and Sofia Dimitar Nikolov and Yordanka Fandakova visited the Institute of Mechanics to BAS.
On May 25th , 2011 Academician Sabotinov together with the mayors of Burgas and Sofia Dimitar Nikolov and Yordanka Fandakova visited the Institute of Mechanics. In the Laboratory of hydroavtomatisation the researchers demonstrated their latest generation of energy-efficient LED lighting suitable for both internal and external spaces. Unlike the currently popular energy-saving light sources, innovative proposal consumes significantly less power. Another advantage is that it is absolutely clean and has no health risks. The guests saw and fountain systems with original water shapes designed by scientists at the institute headed by Dr. Vl. Mednikarov. Dimitar Nikolov and Yordanka Fandakova exchanged armorial bearings of their cities, made of LEDs, and discussed the possibilities of application of this type of lighting in town. Made light road signs offer much better visibility and reduce the risk of accidents.
