1. 12IF 02-10/08.12.2021 "Automation of the stone wool shells foiling process (AproFich – KV01)", Institute of Mechanics is a Partner in the research project funded by the National Innovation Fund at Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), 2021 – 2023.

Strategic goal is developing the innovative technology for automation of the stone wool shells foiling process and shells' final packaging.

Specific objectives are:

  1. New scientific knowledge acquisition for automated and robotic foiling processes of stone wool products.
  2. Design, elaboration and testing of a prototype for stone wool tubular products foiling in a laboratory environment.
  3. Formation of a kinematic scheme and subsequent specifications of a robotized device for shells feeding to the foiling point.
  4. Partnership development between the Institute of Mechanics of BAS and "Chemical Products" Ltd. in research and development area.

Coordinator: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Margarita Natova

2. 9IF 02-7/28.11.2018 "Automation and robotization of processing of individualized manufactured products intended for hydroponically growing of vegetables and flowers, Institute of Mechanics is a Partner in the research project funded by the National Innovation Fund at Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), 2018 – 2020, finished.
